Monday, May 11th, we’ll be hosting the annual Sustainability Event! 🌱
Did you know… Each year, in the Netherlands alone, almost 135 million kilograms of clothes gets thrown away and burned. While the clothing industry is one of the most polluting industries in the world, responsible for 4-10% of worldwide CO2 emissions and enormous amounts of water pollution.
From 13:00 until 17:00, you can help the planet and hand in clothes you wish to donate to Leger des Heils (Salvation Army). 👚👗♻
Did you know… Each year, 8.000.000.000 kg worth of plastic ends up in rivers and oceans. 🌊
Next to a clothing donation station, we’ll also be selling baked goods. All money collected will go to the Ocean Cleanup, a Dutch nonprofit foundation that cleans up ocean plastic . The Ocean Cleanup aims to have removed 90% of floating ocean plastic by 2040. 🌏
So: clean out your closet, enjoy a sweet treat and donate to two charities at the same time!
